A true vintage t-shirt aficionado, it's tough to nail down exactly how long Stephen has been doing this. It all began in Maryland when his family frequented thrift shops when he was a young child. The older he got the more interested he became in his parents' taste in music and choices of fashion. His dad's t-shirts in particular inspired him to become an even bigger thrift store junkie while still in middle school. Then in 2006, he got really serious about collecting after reading a book about vintage t-shirts called, Rock Tease.
After moving to New York City in 2012, Stephen was eventually hired to work at Metropolis Vintage. In 2020 Stephen published, "T-Shirt Fantasy" which showcases his amazing collection. He often travels to famous locations like Woodstock, to research, and pay homage to the history of rock. His rock-inspired journies have resulted in a cult following on his Instagram account: @StephenVoland.
